A card is taken when you start it and charged when it ends, unless you cancel first. Cancel and your dashboard closes; collection carries on and your history is still there the day you come back.

The matrix above shows one rung at a time. This is all of it, with Fathom's single plan alongside for scale. Competitor prices read on 2026-09-06; where a vendor does not sell at a volume the cell is empty rather than guessed.
Each band is scaled to its own dearest plan, so bar lengths compare plans at one volume and never across volumes. Plausible is not plotted: their ladder and ours are the same numbers, tier for tier and rung for rung. The same figures as a table

Three tiers, eight volume rungs, one price per cell and no negotiation. Funnels, user journeys, custom properties, ecommerce revenue and the Stats API are on Business; Growth adds shared and embedded dashboards, and heatmaps, over Starter. Heatmaps and session replay are not sold by either of the tools in the table above. Above a million pageviews a month, Starter is the cheaper of the two columns.
The trial
What the 30 days actually are
There is no free plan here, and no version of this page that pretends otherwise. What there is instead is thirty days of the plan you picked, and a plain account of what happens on day thirty-one.

You pick a tier and a traffic rung
The trial is of that cell — the same reports, the same site and seat caps, the same allowance. Not a sampler you get demoted from, and not a bigger plan you get demoted to. An add-on trials alongside it.

A card is taken, and not charged
Nothing leaves your account during the trial. We take the card up front so that the subscription can start without a second decision, and we would rather say so here than let you find out at checkout — that omission is something this site criticises a competitor for by name.

On day 31 it becomes a subscription
Unless you cancel. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing and takes one click from your billing settings; there is no email to write and no retention flow to sit through.

If you cancel, the dashboard closes — the data does not
A closed account is locked, not deleted. The script keeps recording, your history stays where it is, and paying again opens all of it. If you want the data actually gone, that is a separate request and we act on it — see the privacy and compliance page.
Questions
Pricing questions, answered plainly
What counts towards my monthly allowance?
Pageviews and custom events, added together. One page load counts, one more each time a single-page app changes route, and every custom event you send — outbound link clicks, downloads, form submissions and 404s included. Bots and AI crawlers are filtered out before counting, so you are never billed for those.
If you instrument heavily, work the event volume out before you pick a rung.
How does the 30-day trial work?
30 days on the plan you pick. A card is taken up front and charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel first. You get the exact tier you picked for the whole thirty days — not a cut-down version, and not a bigger one you are then demoted from. Any add-on trials alongside it and is charged on the same day.
There is no free plan. The trial takes a card up front and converts to the plan you picked when the thirty days are up, unless you cancel — and we say so here rather than at the checkout.
What happens when my trial ends or I cancel?
If you cancel before the trial ends, the card is never charged. If you cancel a paid subscription, you keep the dashboard until the period you have already paid for runs out.
After that the account is locked, and that word means one specific thing: the dashboard closes. Collection does not stop and nothing is deleted. The script on your site keeps recording, your history stays where it is, and paying again opens all of it back up. We are not going to hold a gap in your data over you as a retention tactic.
What happens when I exceed my plan?
Nothing stops. We keep collecting and your dashboard keeps working. If you are over for 3 consecutive months, we move you up to the rung that fits — pro-rated, with 14 days' notice and one click to decline.
Going over is not a fault and we do not treat it as one. Nothing is switched off, nothing is deleted, and there is no hole left in your data while it is sorted out.
How many sites and team members do I get?
1 / 3 / 10 by tier — the same on both axes, so 1 / 3 / 10 by tier for members too. Sites and seats are a property of the tier, not of your traffic: moving up a volume rung never changes them.
Team members are real accounts with their own sign-in and their own role, not a shared password or a read-only link passed around.
How long do you keep my data?
3 years Starter and Growth · 5 years Business. It is not sampled and it is not rolled up into something coarser as it ages — a day from two years ago answers the same questions as yesterday.
Which tier has the Stats API?
Business. Funnels, user journeys, custom properties, ecommerce revenue and the Stats API are all on Business. Growth adds shared and embedded public dashboards over Starter, plus heatmaps. Everything listed under "on every plan" above is on all three.

Can I pay annually?
Yes, and it is two months free — about 17%. It also genuinely helps us: one annual charge costs a fraction of twelve monthly card transactions in processing fees, which is why we can pass the discount on rather than pricing it as a lock-in.
What do the add-ons cost?
Session replay is $19 a month. It attaches to any plan and can be cancelled on its own without touching your analytics.
Heatmaps used to be the second one. They are not any more — click, scroll and attention maps, rage clicks and form analytics are all included in Growth and above, at no extra charge and with no separate quota. Those are the two things we sell that the rest of the category does not.
